Known primarily for its multiplying and increasing properties (originally for herds and cattle), the 24th lunar mansion was known as “Sa’d al Su’ud”, the Luckiest of the Lucky — its indicator star, Sadalsuud, was located in the Aquarius constellation and heralded the fertile, rainy season. In the astrological grimoire Picatrix, Sadalsuud is described as such: “[under this mansion,] make images to increase merchandise and make a profit out of it, to have goodwill between husband and wife, for soldiers to report victory over enemies, and for the increase of herds.” Beautiful and auspicious, Sadalsuud is a fecund mansion of nurturing.
